The Orlando Utilities Commission – The Reliable One (OUC) has selected Siemens to implement their meter data management system based on eMeter’s EnergyIP software to support current and future applications and business processes enabled by an advanced metering infrastructure (AMI). OUC selected Siemens’ project management and delivery services combined with EnergyIP’s advanced capabilities as the best choice for their planned Smart Grid initiatives. The Orlando Utility Commission is independent owned by the citizens of Orlando. The second largest municipal utility in Florida, OUC provides electric and water services to more than 313,000 metered accounts in Orlando, St. Cloud and parts of unincorporated Orange and Osceola counties.
