With the support of market leaders like Belkin, Cisco, D-Link and GE, ZigBee become the preferred Home Area Network technology by Smart Home platform providers worldwide.
By 2015, 250 million wireless chipsets will be used in products for building a smarter grid.
ADT Security recently launched its interactive home control service. British Telecom, Bouygues Telecom, Comcast and Verizon are also planning or already offer Home Area Network to their customers. Cloud platforms by Alertme, iControl, Intamac, IJENKO, and uControl are also targeting a growing number of service providers that are making HAN services both affordable and accessible for the mass market.
