George Arnold of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has been honored with a 2010 GridWeek Award for his work in advancing international Smart Grid cooperation and standards. Arnold, the National Coordinator for Smart Grid Interoperability, will receive his award at a ceremony on Oct. 20, 2010, at the GridWeek 2010 conference in Washington, D.C.
Five individuals will receive GridWeek awards at the conference, held from October 18-21 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. The annual conference aims to address the smart grid’s impact on the economy, the electric utility infrastructure, consumers and the environment.
