Elster Wins Tennessee Smart Grid Project
Tennessee-based Cleveland Utilities has selected Elster’s EnergyAxis Smart Grid solution to form a network of 29,000 electric meters at residential and commercial and industrial locations. The deployment is expected to take three years. Tom Wheeler, general manager of Cleveland Utilities says the company invests in technologies “that enable us to more efficiently operate our electric system while meeting the evolving needs of our customers. As part of the Tennessee Valley Authority’s plan for the Smart Grid, we are updating our electric grid infrastructure.
